Description
Industrial-grade round stainless steel pipe — welded and seamless, ASTM A312 / A213 compliant, schedule 5S to 80, with mill / polished / BA finish options. MESCO supplies round stainless steel pipe in 304, 304L, 316, 316L, 321 and 310S grades, in both welded (A312 / A249) and seamless (A312 / A213) forms. Outside diameter covers 6 to 630 mm with wall thickness 0.5 to 30 mm across schedule 5S to 80. Standard length is 6 m, with custom cut-to-length, end forming, polishing and protective capping available for OEM and EPC projects. Schedule 80 has a thicker wall than Schedule 40 at the same nominal size. For example, a 2" Sch 40 pipe has a 2.1 mm wall, while Sch 80 has 3.9 mm. Sch 80 is used for higher pressure, mechanical strength and corrosive service where a thicker wall adds safety margin. 316L is recommended for chloride-containing media, acids (sulfuric, phosphoric), and marine environments due to its 2-3% Mo content that resists pitting. 304 is suitable for most organic chemicals, food and general process water but may pit in halogen-rich service. Yes. We offer mill, 180-grit, 240-grit, 320-grit, 400-grit and 600-grit polished finishes, plus bright annealed (BA) for sanitary / pharmaceutical applications. Polished pipes are individually sleeved to protect the surface during transport. Standard mill length is 6 meters. We can also supply cut-to-length from 0.5 m to 12 m, with optional end forming (threading, beveling, flanging, grooving).
